A CARAVAN FROM KAZAKHSTAN ARRIVED IN TASHKENT
‘Қаз дауысты Қазыбек би жолымен: Бабаларға тағзым!’ autocaravan arrived yesterday in Tashkent, which started its marathon from Yegindybulak village of Karaganda region, Kazakhstan.
After the arrival the caravan consisting of 34 members in six cars headed for Shaikhantahur memorial complex, where the mausoleum of one of the three great Kazakh biys – Tole bi.
Near the memorial complex the delegation was met by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Erik Utembayev and the chairman of the Kazakh Cultural Center Serik Usenov. In his speech, the head of the cultural center noted the scale of the project to attract public attention to national traditions and tribute to the great ancestors.
The Shaikhantahur memorial complex consists of three buildings: the tomb of Khovendi Tahur (15th – 19th), the mausoleum of Tole bi and the mosque. The territory of the complex also has the mausoleum of Yunuskan Mogolistani (1414-1487), who was one of the rulers of Tashkent.
