The international exhibition of construction machinery and equipment Matexpo-2017 was taken place in the exhibition center “Kortrijk Xpo” in Kortrijk, Belgium.
Matexpo – the main profile exhibition of construction techniques and machinery which has been running since 1947. World leaders of the industry, leading Belgian and European manufacturers and dealers of road construction technique and machinery, attended in the exhibition. The exhibitors presented the latest trends in the field of engineering technologies, modern technologies and future developments, scientific researches in this field.
According to the organizers, more than 370 Belgian and international companies took part in Matexpo-2017 which demonstrated a wide range of innovative machines, equipment and technologies intended for the construction industry. More than 40 thousand professional participants, representing 1,300 famous brands in the field of construction equipment visited the exhibition.
Representatives of Uzbekistan also took part in this prestigious fair. Particularly, negotiations were conducted with entrepreneurs and experts of leading European companies. The opportunities of the domestic construction industry, investment, export and trade potential of our country were presented.
Representatives of European companies showed great interest in the prospects of developing trade, economic and investment cooperation with Uzbek partners. They kindly exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in the construction sphere.
In particular, the general director of Dutch company Hoeflon Gert van Hoef highly assessedthe construction opportunities of our Republic.
– It is gratifying that large-scale construction of new and reconstruction of existing industrial facilities and apartment buildings, as well as other important structures, was launched across the country. I think that modern construction machinery and equipment will be widely used to realizethe projects. Our company can offer Uzbek businessmen mini-cranes Hoeflon which have proven themselves at construction sites of European countries for their efficiency and compactness. They are also very convenient for further maintenance of buildings and structures. We are ready to discuss cooperation issues in detail and invite our Uzbek colleagues to visit our company.
In turn, a managing Director of the Belgian company TVH Equipment (global supplier of construction equipment) Jean-Pierre de Nil considers that the dynamically developing construction market of Uzbekistan is attractive and promising in the Central Asian region.
– The opportunities and prospects of free economic zones created in Uzbekistan deserve special attention. A wide range of tax benefits is a weighty argument in favor of investing in the creation of industries in the territories of these zones. I think this approach is a result of a well-thought-out economic policy and strategy to increase the competitiveness of the national economy. I am sure that the adopted policy for effective use in investment potential will not only increase the authority of Uzbekistan among foreign investors, but also secure its stable advancement.
Thus, the participation of the representatives of Uzbekistan in the exhibition allowed getting acquainted with the advanced experience and technologies in the construction sector and drawing the attention of European manufacturers to the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with our country.
