BUREAU OF ENFORCEMENT’S INSPECTORS SHALL BE ASSESSED BY RATING
International Press Club hosted a regular session on the topic: “Bureau: saving resources, consumer responsibilities and a culture of timely payment”.
During the event, a question was raised regarding renewal of electric lines and meters, and further plans to prevent cases of “rounding off meters”. Bekzod Mavlonov, the head of the department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, said that 60% of the network needs repair. The tasks are great, and the main goal is to ensure all conditions for the population to uninterruptedly update the network. “For this we attracted qualified local and foreign specialists. Foreign specialists also noted that the chosen way to solve problems in this area is optimal”.
To date, about 6 million electricity meters have been registered, 4.5 million of them are digital, and the remaining 1.5 million are analogue meters. The number of gas meters reached 3 million; most of them are analogue ones. In case if a consumer rounds off the meter, he will be brought to justice in accordance with the law. In order to prevent such cases, a special automated system was launched.
