The Web site of the Chinese Academy of Contemporary International Relations has posted an article which is devoted to the assessments of the head of the Central Asian sector of the Academy Ding Xiaoxing on the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

According to the expert, it was the first time that he visited our country as an international observer. Sharing his impressions from monitoring the voting process, the author notes that the citizens have shown great responsibility and active solidarity. It was stressed that the elections have been conducted in full compliance with democratic principles, in a relaxed atmosphere, which is important to maintain stability and further development of Central Asia.

Ding Xiaoxing praised the thorough preparation for the elections in Uzbekistan in order to ensure their transparency and openness. In this context, he referred to the established conditions for the smooth monitoring of the electoral process, representatives of reputable organizations and foreign media.

Having visited polling stations located in buildings of educational institutions, a specialist got acquainted with the peculiarities of the educational system of Uzbekistan. According to him, the government of Uzbekistan attaches great significance to improve the intellectual potential of youth, training of highly qualified personnel, the construction that meets the latest requirements of schools. Scientist appreciates the commitment of our young people to learn Chinese.

In addition, the author informs the audience in detail about the activities of a unique self-government institutions – the Institute of Mahalla. It is noted that it is addressing the pressing issues, involving in the upbringing of children, contributing to peace and harmony between people of the territory, and promoting universal values, including respect for women and the elderly.

He also addresses the topic of the Uzbek-Chinese cooperation, which, according to him, has great potential. In particular, he writes about the successful launch of the electrified railway line Angren-Pap and tunnel through Kamchik pass, the construction of which was carried out with the participation of China Railway Tunnel Group.
