COMMUNICATION TO BE TESTED FOR QUALITY
The national mobile operator Uzmobile is getting prepared to launch a scaled program to test the quality of cellular communication services through mobile laboratories.
The company is currently purchasing measuring equipment by the well-known Finnish supplier Anite Finland. It allows testing quality control in all modern mobile standards CDMA 450, 2G / 3G / 4G, and includes NEMO Invex II, one of the most advanced products on telecommunications market. The measuring complex will lay the foundation for modern mobile laboratories that are expected to start running all over Uzbekistan, providing a comparative assessment of quality of communication services delivered.
Along with that, the range of measuring equipment will be supplemented with drive test systems to monitor the quality of communication services while driving in the streets, along trails and railways, in tunnels, as well as in pedestrian areas and indoors. The tests will pave the way for continuous optimization of the network in different standards.
In the next five years, the national mobile operator of Uzbekistan intends to bring its subscriber pool to 11 million people. Thus, by 2021, the company is expected to take the lead in the domestic cellular communications market at this indicator.
In 2017, it is planned to build and commission 1,500 new base stations throughout the country to further improve and expand the network not just in regional centers, but also in remote rural areas.
