NUMBER OF OFFENSES IN HOUSING AND COMMUNAL SERVICES SPHERE SOARS 48%
As was previously reported, the International Press Club hosted a regular session on the topic: “Bureau: saving resources, consumer responsibilities and a culture of timely payment”.
Speaking at the event, Director of the Bureau of Enforcement at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bоtir Kudratkhodzhaev noted that failure to take effective measures against consumers who do not fulfill contractual obligations delaying implementation of automated control and accounting system lead to a sharp increase in accounts receivable, theft and payment evasion for consumed energy resources. So, in 2016 the number of offenses connected with unauthorized connection to electric and gas networks, damage to meters and distortion of their indicators increased by 48% compared to 2014.
Significant increase in the volume of work in this system, delays in the introduction of information and communication technologies lead to a reduction in the level of penalties, unjustified suspension and termination of enforcement proceedings over recent years. This is evidenced by the indicator of actual execution of judicial acts and acts of other bodies, which in 2016 amounted to only 45%.
Our ancestors always pay special attention to saving existing resources. Despite the fact that they had only 3-4 water channels, they always kept the cleanliness and order in the canals.
Many do not save money for chic weddings, expensive clothes and mobile phones, cars. But they often do not think about paying for utilities. This is a very sad fact. We need to move away from this and change our thinking.
There was also a live broadcast to all housewives in the studio: “Save natural resources, think about responsibility!”
